Her father, who was a professional player of hockey in Alaska looking to create interest in his sport, met her mother. Era Alaska, the airline firm they started with the help of his mother, was born from their passion for each other. Ariel and Alya grew up within Nome Census Alaska. She attended Emerson College and then graduated with a degree in communications at Chapman University in Southern California. Ariel started her acting career at an early age. The role she played was in Wipeout. She was famous after an incident when she asked her mother to explain the pole that was in the room which she didn't notice. A reality series was made to tell her story in the Alaskan forest following the Twetos were contacted by the producers. Jim, her father is sceptical but agrees to allow the camera film in his office. Era Alaska is still run by him in his capacity as a Bush pilot. Flying Wild Alaska was a popular show for Discovery Channel because it showed the struggles the Tweto family is facing when it comes to their work. For many Americans it is a daunting thought being able to survive in a landscape that resembles that of the Wild West of old is an uphill battle. With nature's sometimes brutal cruelty the fans are able to sympathize with and cheer with Twetos who win. With Jim at the pilot's seat and his wife Ferno taking care of matters on the ground, the family is never short of action. Ariel is a positive character throughout all of this. Ariel had a natural interest in aviation from an early time, since both of her parents Jim as well as Ferno had pilot licenses. Flying Alaska's 2011-2012 season is a follow-up for Ariel in her training for her dream of becoming a pilot. Ariel eventually gets her pilot's licence in April of this year. When her father retires, Ariel takes on the management of the family aviation business. Alaskans have plenty of anxiety about the suicide rate for teenagers as they have a seven-fold higher rate than the national average. Ariel established a non-profit group known as Popping Bubbles to help educate young people about depression and the best ways to beat it.
